Kaitlyn had the honor of being asked by the Providence Preservation Society to chair this years Winter Bash. She reached out to long time right hand lady Emily Greagori to be her co-chair. Armed with a vision, a great committee (with our own Alison Greene accounted for) and a goal, they set out to put together the best Bash ever! From all accounts, it was a successful mission. The Bash was one for the books and raised over $26,000 for the PPS and all they do to maintain the architecture and history of Providence.
Kaitlyn has worked on Leadership Rhode Island's events since 2008. She has worked on everything from the class graduations to smaller fundraisers. Each event is unique and most of all fun! We can not wait for the next one!
We were thrilled to be the event coordinator for the first ever Ocean State Oyster Festival in Providence, RI on September 19, 2015. As a way to celebrate the oyster and its extensive history with Rhode Island aquaculture, we invited 18 local oyster farmers to show off their best, and they did! They shucked over 10,000 oysters and fed over 1000 oyster fans! It was quite a day.
Kaitlyn joined the event committee in 2015 for the annual HHCRI Gala. Each year the gala becomes more elaborate. This year was one for the books. The theme was Havana Nights and took place Café Nuovo in Providence, RI. With record attendance, the event was a huge success.
As a member of the Board of Directors for the VETS Auditorium, Kaitlyn is very active when it comes to planning their events. To celebrate the opening of the City View Ballroom at the VETS as well as celebrating the amazing achievements of Mr. & Mrs. Carter, the board threw a fundraiser for all to attend. The night included entertainment from the lovely Miss Wensday and arielle artist Nichole Rabb. To top off the evening, we had raised over $30,000 for the VETS Foundation to aid with production of educational programs at the VETS.
During Kaitlyn's time with the Rhode Island Wedding Group, she served as the Bridal Director on the Board. She was charged with orchestrating the social events and bridal shows for the group. Get Pink, an annual bridal show that the group does, raises money for the Gloria Gemma Foundation. Held at the Hyatt in Newport on a rainy day in February, the turn out was better than expected and we were able to raise thousands of dollars for an amazing charity.
